Fairy garden accessories are not something that you can miss out on for your fairy garden.

What I mean is, what would your fairy garden look like without little paths, little plants and trees, bridges across rivers, or cute little white picket fences?
But there is so much more that you can create to give your fairy garden that final shine.
Let’s dive a little bit deeper into the topic of fairy garden accessories.
But First, Some More General Information On Fairy Gardens Again
Before we go on, have you seen all my other tutorials on fairy gardens? Here’s a little list:
I have created 3 fairy houses so far and a fourth one is on the way as we speak.
My first one was made from plastic. As you can see in one of my YouTube videos, where I am showing you around my first attempt at a fairy garden.
If you want to make it easier on yourself and work on a small fairy garden with your child, then you might as well just use miniature fairy garden kits here and there.
And still, have lots of fun working on them!
Oh, before I forget, obviously you need to know no about all the materials that you would need to create a fairy garden.
Anyway let’s move on to the topic of this blog post: our 12 fairy garden accessories, shall we?
How to create fairy garden accessories?
So, now that you know how to create fairy houses, plant your miniature plants and trees, and how to make miniature fairy garden furniture, we will head to the Finishing Touch;
1. How To Create A Fairy Garden Ladder?
To create a fairy garden ladder, the easiest way is using twigs, preferably willow wood twigs.
So basically you just need these little twigs, a cutter, and glue.
But I wouldn’t choose a glue gun to fix the twigs together as shown in the video below, but a waterproof wood glue or a waterproof fast grabbing kind of glue.

2. How to make Rivers, beaches, waterfalls, fountains, etc?
Your fairy houses need to be connected by all kinds of little paths and roads so that your inhabitants can visit each other 😉
To create a fairy path, you could put down some pebbles or rocks to create a cobblestone path, but also some sawn pieces of wood.
To prevent from weeds growing between the pebbles or the pieces of wood, you could put down an anti-weed cloth first on the soil, before re-adding soil and pebbles.
Some people really do create wonderful cobblestone fairy garden paths, sometimes made from real stones but also from plastic. As in the examples shown below.
How to do this exactly is something to explain for another day.
If you prefer a more “natural” look, I would suggest making a sign like in the picture below, using wood, moss, and pinecones. Glue everything together and there you go!
The sign itself is burned on the wood with a wood burner.
5. How to create little fairy garden (white picket) fences?
Well, I couldn’t explain it any better with written text than in the next video tutorial, go check it out!
6. How to create little fairy garden lights?
This is so cute! Yet, super easy. What you need is a wooden bent stick, a mini LED light, moss, rocks, and an acorn top. Glue everything together and there you go!
I haven’t created mushrooms myself before, but I would imagine that using polymer clay or Sculpey would be the best way to go ahead and craft them.

8. How to create a fairy garden water well?
I have created my own fairy garden water well.
I just (well, it did take me a lot of time lol), glued slates of stone together in a circle and grouted that.
Actually, I did use a plastic bottle cap to glue the slates on ( if I remember well because it was a long time ago that I made this ).
Then added willow twigs in this form, a rope, where I attached a little bucket, and done!
You can find many other examples on Pinterest and such.
9. How to create children’s outdoor toys for your fairy garden?
Again, I have used willow twigs, gave them the shape of a swing, braided a rope, made three holes in a piece of wood, attached the rope, and there you go, done 😉
10. How to create a little Bridge for your small garden?
There are many examples of how to make a wooden fairy bridge or even a resin bridge for your fairy garden, but in the next video, you can see how I created mine 😉
11. How to create a little mailbox for your fairy garden?
Although again, people create fantastic fairy garden mailboxes by using resin, but if you prefer to use some more “organic” materials, you can make it like the one in the picture below.
A large piece of wood, attach willow twigs, pebbles, and moss. Create a round mailbox with twigs (just glue them in a circle).
Add a few more details to make it look suitable for a fairy garden, and woopa, done!
I have created a washing line for the fairies, or whoever wants to come and live in it;-)
The base is a solid piece of wood, heavily varnished with ships varnish.
Very small pebbles are glued on it and a little basket with washing clamps in them (you can buy these in craft stores)
The poles are thicker willow twigs, cut with my table saw, and the washing line itself is a fishing line wrapped around the bottom and the poles.
